Entering Our 25th Year

On September 1, 1992 Texas Recycling opened with two generations of Litmans (father Stan and sons Joel and Craig) working from a card table, folding chairs and a "brick" mobil phone which represented its office. The Litmans sat in an empty 30,000 square foot warehouse in northwest Dallas. Nothing had been collected for recycling, yet.

Then (1992) vs Now (2016)

On September 1, 2016, Texas Recycling and its affiliate document destruction company, Action Shred of Texas boast more than 65 employees (including Joel and Craig Litman, and Joel's daughter Hillary) and collects tons (literally) of paper, metal, and plastic from customers throughout Texas and the Southwest.

Family-Owned Operation

The recyclables are shipped worldwide from the company's new home that has more than 203,000 square feet near Fair Park in Dallas., Texas.

Happy 24th anniversary to everyone who has helped our company grow, succeed and move past the "brick" mobile phones.

– Craig and Joel Litman
